Who we are
LINK, Inc. is a 501c(3) non-profit organization that provides food and financial assistance to qualified people in need. Supported primarily by donations of food and funds, LINK is comprised of dedicated churches, organizations, and individuals serving the Herndon, Sterling, and Ashburn, Virginia communities. The all volunteer staff at LINK believe in the power of selfless service and the importance of providing people in crisis with unconditional love. This love includes commitment, compassion, and the courage to serve the sick, abused, hurt, unloved, and powerless.
LINK does not discriminate on the basis of race, creed, color, religion, gender, age, national origin, sexual orientation, physical or mental health, or any characteristic protected by law with respect to the provision of services and volunteer participation.
Member organizations provide volunteers, coordinate LINK activities, and serve on LINK's Board.
LINK Governance Board
The LINK Board is composed of one volunteer representative from each member church or organization, five elected volunteer officers, and appointed mission coordinators. The LINK Board directly oversees the activity of the various mission coordinators and special volunteers. The officers are elected in November and begin their one-year term of office the following January.
