LINK Celebrates 40 Years of Service

LINK was recognized for 40 years of service in the Congressional Record on July 9th, 2012 by Congressman Frank Wolf.

Virginia House Resolution No. 416 recognized LINK's 40 years of service. The patron of the resolution was Delegate Tom Rust.

The Fairfax County Board of Supervisors and the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors recognized LINK's 40 years of service to their respective counties.

Virginia Legislature Recognizes LINKDelegate David LaRock of the 33rd District was patron to a Resolution in 2014 commending LINK for excellent service to the community.

Volunteer Awards
Each year the Town of Herndon recognizes outstanding volunteers with the Distinguished Service Award. Betty Eidemiller received this award in 2017. In the past LINK volunteers Lisa Lombardozzi (2014), Bob Ashdown (2012), George Lingg (2008), Ed Foy (2007), Maureen Dawson (1997), Mary Kay Stine (1996), Del Gochnauer (1993) and Linda Tacci (1992) received this prestigious award. LINK celebrated its fortieth anniversary in 2012 and received recognition by various political leaders. LINK was recognized in the Congressional Record by the Honorable Frank R. Wolf for its service to the community, Virginia House Joint Resolution No. 416 sponsored by Del. Tom Rust recognized LINK’s 40 years of service, Fairfax County Board of Supervisors recognized LINK, and the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors presented LINK with a Resolution of Recognition. Loudoun's most outstanding volunteers were lauded Tuesday 19 April 2005 at the Board of Supervisors meeting and LINK President Nancy Smith and Vice President Robert Duchesneau received the Loudoun Volunteer Services Outstanding Volunteer Organization Award. Joy Trickett (2005) and Kenny Thayer (2008) received the Loudoun Volunteer Services Outstanding Adult Volunteer Award for their work with LINK. Jim Butts received the Loudoun Magazine 2012 Unsung Hero award for his non-profit work.
Town of Herndon Resolution of Appreciation
The Herndon, VA Town Council issued a resolution on April 13, 2004 recognizing LINK for "the outstanding service and invaluable contributions it provides the community." Members of the LINK executive committee accepted the award at the Town Council meeting on behalf of the entire organization of volunteers.
Loudoun County Resolution of Appreciation
The Loudoun County Board of Supervisors presented LINK with a Resolution of Appreciation Award on January 20, 2004 for over 30 years of service to the community.
