2010 LINK Holiday Food Basket
Information
During the 2009 Holiday Food Basket
Program, we were able to assist over 1400 families and 7200 individuals.
We want to thank
–
-
The families who collected food for LINK, the youth organizations in
Loudoun County and Fairfax County who collected food, the individuals
who heard the cry for help and dropped by with food, clothing or toys,
the businesses that began collections, and the schools (both public and
private) who coordinated drives for LINK.
-
The people who called or wrote offering their help, the people who
stepped forward to move heavy boxes, the people who shopped for food and
toys, and the people who drove many miles to help out in a program that
wasn’t in their “back yard” or specific county.
-
The churches, both LINK member churches and those that were not, that
offered food, coats, toys, and money to help the program provide
assistance to so many.
-
The organizations and individuals that gave much needed funding to LINK
to help out this season.
-
The businesses that donated boxes, bags, grocery carts, and other items
that go overlooked during a drive as large as this one.
-
The businesses that donated bread and frozen food.
-
The people who worked during pre-staging events and the day-of in
November and December.
-
And finally, to the LINK ever-faithful volunteers – those that work
tirelessly and selflessly, giving so much of themselves to make this
program succeed. Thank you for going without sleep, for driving miles
and miles to pick up food, boxes, toys, clothing, bags, grocery carts,
and everything else, for keeping a smile on your face, and for being
patient during times of stress. You are amazing individuals!!!
